Ovie Studio fictional architecture website design

about

Ovie is a personal portfolio project I created to improve my skills in web design, frontend development, and motion.

The website explores how an architecture studio could present its work through considered typography, project imagery, and interactive storytelling.

Ovie is a fictional studio created for showcasing my design and development work, rather than an operating architecture practice.

case study

I wanted to explore how an architecture portfolio could carry the same sense of intention as the spaces it presents.

That idea became Ovie.

The visual direction draws from architectural materials and forms. A warm cream background, dark ink, and clay accents give the website a restrained character, while large typography and generous imagery place the projects at the center of the experience.

I organized the site around the work, services, studio, and contact pages. Each page adds context to the practice, from its design principles to the thinking behind individual projects.

Motion became part of how visitors move through the website. Parallax images introduce depth, horizontal page transitions connect the sections, and project cards expand into detailed case studies. Cursor-following labels help visitors recognize what they can explore.

As the project developed, I refined image sharpness, responsive layouts, hover behavior, and performance. I also included reduced-motion support so the experience remains usable without its animations.

The contact form completes the studio concept as a demonstration. It validates the fields and displays a confirmation without sending or storing inquiries.

Ovie became an opportunity to practice building a complete visual experience while balancing expressive motion, clear navigation, and performance.
