School publication graphics and campus announcement designs

about

i was assigned as a pubmat editor for one of our school organizations, where i was responsible for creating visual materials for announcements, events, activities, and other organization-related posts.

case study

school organizations usually have their own creative teams responsible for producing graphics and publication materials. i applied for a pubmat editor position and became part of the team, which gave me the opportunity to work on actual design requests within an organization.

unlike my personal work, these designs had to follow the organization's existing visual identity while still making each announcement clear and engaging. i had to consider typography, hierarchy, layout, colors, and the amount of information that needed to fit into every post.

working as a pubmat editor also taught me how to design around deadlines, revisions, and feedback from other members of the organization. it helped me become more adaptable and showed me how graphic design works when it is part of a larger team rather than something i create entirely on my own.
