Aster

about
Aster (formerly known as "Roulette ni snowi") is a personal project created to help developers and designers overcome creative block when choosing their next project.
the platform generates a brand direction through a roulette system, giving users a starting point for what they need to build. once the result is generated, the challenge is to create the project within a limited timeline, from the brand identity and mockups to the final website.
the goal is to keep the process focused, encourage consistent practice, and give users something new they can add to their portfolio.

case study
one of the common problems developers and designers face is deciding what to build next.
sometimes the hardest part is not the design or development itself, but finding an idea worth starting. spending too much time thinking about the next project can lead to creative block and eventually slow down productivity.
i wanted to remove that decision-making process and turn it into something more spontaneous.
that idea became Aster.
instead of waiting for the perfect project idea, users spin the roulette and accept whatever result they get. that result becomes the brand they need to build within a limited timeline.
the challenge encourages users to work from scratch, starting with the brand direction, logo, visual identity, and mockups before moving into the final website.
by adding a time limit, the project also encourages users to make decisions faster, manage their scope, and focus on completing something instead of endlessly refining an idea before starting.
Aster became both a creative exercise and a productivity tool, designed to help developers and designers keep building, improve their skills, experiment with different styles, and continuously create projects they can add to their portfolio.
